The Next 100 Years of Engineering

This article offers an interesting perspective from an Electrical engineering grad student at Stanford University:

I think the author definitely should have put more time and emphasis on the importance of nanotechnology (very briefly mentioned).  I also note that he fully excluded the many engineering challenges that will undoubtedly present themselves with manned exploration of Mars, the Asteroid belt and the Outer Planets, all reachable within the next 100 years.
